Hello! Samantha Ladewig here reporting for duty to analyze dissolved oxygen and plastic concentrations on this P18 line through the South Pacific. When I'm not sailing you will most likely find me in Conway, SC filtering and counting microplastics for my dissertation at Coastal Carolina University. This is my second time aboard the Ronald H. Brown yet my first time traveling through the South Pacific Gyre and stepping foot on Eastern Island soil. We should see some interesting data aboard this cruise and I'm beyond excited to sail with this group of scientist and crew.
