I am a PhD student from University of Miami - RSMAS, Ocean Sciences department. I work with biogeochemistry with focus on Dissolved Organic Carbon (DOC) cycle and remineralization processes. In this cruise, I am responsible for collecting data for DOC, Total Dissolved Nitrogen (TDN) and Dissolved Inorganic radioCarbon 14 (DI14C). As part of my thesis, I will also perform biological incubations using surface DOC along P18 in order to understand why does it accumulates in subtropical gyres.
